Aside from the 2-pound butternut squash and 12 ounces of linguini, you’ll need 2 tablespoons of olive oil, a tablespoon of chopped sage, a chopped medium yellow onion, two chopped garlic cloves, between 1/4 and 1/8 teaspoon of chopped red pepper flakes, a dash of salt and pepper, and 2 cups of vegetable broth.

Using mushrooms, you can create a meatless meatball that goes perfectly with many types of noodles and marinara sauce.
