On Friday, February 11, the Candlelit Symphony will feature the Owensboro Symphony string quartet. Along with romantic music and candle lighting, heavy hors d’oeuvres will also be served by Chef Matt Weafer. The Candle-lit Symphony will be from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Whether you are coming for a “Galentine” night out with friends, a special date, or just want to enjoy the ambiance of candlelit music, this is the perfect night out! Owensboro Symphony
The Owensboro Symphony plays a large role in the culture surrounding Owensboro. The Symphony has been around since it was founded in 1966 in a much smaller populated Owensboro. Since its birth, the wonderful organization of musicians has only grown. Owensboro Symphony takes pride in creating memorable experiences for others and offering an opportunity to bring others together in celebration of music.
In addition to the symphony, they also sponsor the Owensboro Symphony Youth and Strings Orchestras and the Owensboro Symphony Academy. The academy gives young musicians a chance to shine through private lessons from qualified instructors in the Symphony.

Chef Matt Weafer
Matt Weafer is a locally renowned chef at the Paddock at the Owensboro Country Club, as well as the owner of a local bakery, Niko’s Bakery and Café. Weafer has 22 years of culinary experience under his belt after first working at a restaurant called the Big Dipper. Weafer enjoys getting to know his customers on a personal level because he understands how much food is a part of their lives.
Weafer likes to locally source as many products as possible often from farmer’s markets. Fresh, local, stellar food is all that will be served at the Candlelit Symphony with options for every guest.
